Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

We rang beforehand to book because it was a birthday meal for the nine year old son of my partner. We told them we were bringing 9-10 people. They said just arrive at 1130-1215 as it's usually quiet at that time.

We duly arrived at 12. It was jam-packed. We informed them of the advice. We were warned it would be about 25 minutes until we would be seated.

45 minutes later we were seated and offered free soft drinks (I'd gone to a nearby Costa to get drinks while we waited).

Everyone ordered food, which duly arrived at different times for different people so half of us started eating our main course about ten minutes after the other half.

My food when it arrived was lukewarm. My partner had made the mistake of not pointing out she didn't like non-breast meat for her chicken so we ordered a new breast for her. That arrived ten minutes after mine, burnt around the edges and lukewarm as well.

The staff were friendly and they're normally really efficient, but this was a nightmare from beginning to end and it's the first time I've left a restaurant without tipping in some time. We just wanted to get home.
