There's nothing quite like your first time. The excitement, the nerves and of course, blindly choosing the spice level. So this was my first Nando's experience and despite being Portuguese I had never visited the restaurant famous for its African-Portuguese cuisine. My friend was an expert and knew what do and where to go. Gladly, the staff were helpful in taking us to a table and answering my questions about the menu. I was a bit confused about not having cutlery on the table but when I realised I had to pick them up near the drinks, I was pleasantly surprised. For a second I felt like I was at home helping to set up the table while my mum cooked up a mean chicken. I got the Sunrise burger with the spicy rice and the PERi-Salted Chips. The chicken was mouth-wateringly delicious and the rice was lush. The seasoning on the chips wasn't well distributed so some chips were plain and others were waaay too spicy. But then again, that's not a terrible thing. Looking forward to my next visit, hopefully with a cheeky £30 voucher in hand. Keep up the good chicken. Peace!
