Notting Hill - Blaynos Review
After the hugely disappointing Bayswater branch a couple of days ago (which I just realised was a rather unfortunate restaurant to mark my 50th review), Notting Hill proved to be a much, much, better venue. Despite it being the middle of a Friday lunchtime, the branch was only half full and I was served almost immediately. Again, there was a lack of a Nandoca on the door but overall, the staff were very friendly in this branch. It's located just a stone's throw away from the tube station but the fascia is a little bit bleak looking.
It's a significant improvement inside. It's a deceptively large store with lots of natural light - a lot of it thanks to a large skylight that covers the front half of the store (artificial lighting is also good). Service station is on the opposite side of the restaurant to the tills, albeit in the middle of the branch. There probably could be a little more space around the till area but that's a small gripe. Food took about 10mins to come and, I tell you, these were without a doubt the best peri chips I've ever had at Nando's. They didn't even need the xhot sauce, they were just perfectly cooked! Just enough crunch when biting and fluffy on the inside and lots of peri salt. The burger was a slight let down, again - as seems to be happening a fair bit lately - it could have done with more sauce.
Overall though, it's a solid 4/5 branch all round.
