Notting Hill - Gerry Louis Review
I thought Stroud green was bad but this place was absolutely shit especially the staff.
The only guy who seemed to have a bit of sense was the maître'd who took Elliott's name for the table, everyone else there was crap. Well not Bart either though he didn't really do much. We were given table 29 right at the back of the restaurant so I decided to order before going to sit, what a farce! This is one of those silly branches that have the till point right as you enter so people are constantly pushing past to get out, get in or order their food and the till staff aren't that helpful either. There's no proper queuing system set up here so it was all a mess. The First Lady I was waiting for decided to leave after she served the woman in front of me. The next one, when the lady in front of me finally pissed off and left her water bottle on the counter, SLOWLY followed after her to give the water. She didn't ask which piece I'd prefer for my chicken, but again it was a quarter chicken mango and lime with peri chips and garlic bread.
Food arrived in about 16/ 17 minutes and it was definitely not worth the wait. They gave me the smallest chicken ever, about ten chips and the garlic bread was very small. It was a good thing I had a meal earlier otherwise I would have been a bit vocal about what they served me. They sat us on a table next to another round two seater and a four seater. When they decided to bring a four set behind us, then tried to bring three people to the cramped 2 seater, how did this chick ask me to move out the way whilst I was eating? The trio left for another table and the same chick brought more people over to the same table and asked me to move, despite the guy behind me not having ordered food yet. They also went somewhere else then a male Nandoca brought another couple over and took them round where there was space to get to the table. Same chick try giving me dirty looks too, dunno what was wrong with her.
Anyway terrible layout and seating plan with bad staff. Was really excited when we first got there as there were two light fixtures I'd not seen before that were very enticing. The front of the restaurant is it lit very fell, but the back is kept in darkness with no decorations or any endearing features, plus the disabled toilet is literally opposite table 29 and 30 so not very pleasant if someone is not well and uses it. I don't recommend this branch.
