Orpington - Marc Joss Review
Nando's 198 was a memorable visit for a few reasons! The walk down from St Mary Cray station was simple enough and unbelievably there was a direct train there from Mill Hill Broadway station which was great news.
My walk towards this Nando's included a sighting of possibly the biggest Nando's sign on a building I've ever seen (see pic) and was then impressed with the sliding doors at the entrance which take you into a smaller area with interesting pots and art pieces in a glass cubicle on either side with another door to actually enter the restaurant.
There are some comfortable sofa-laden booths on the right which is where I was seated and ordered my regular half chicken extra hot with peri chips, garlic bread and halloumi. It came swiftly and was excellent! Loads of sauce, big portion size and pretty spicy! I actually got through a glass of tap water during my meal so it must have been extra hot! Another good point was the distribution double mayo in a small plastic container so I didn't have to worry about rationing during my meal. Great stuff, Orpington Nando's!
The staff were friendly and checked up on me, although by the time I left it was almost full and things started to get chaotic so my timing was definitely good (I arrived just after midday).
Nando's 199 up next! Another milestone is approaching fast.
