This was my first visit to this Nando's, which I think was opened quite recently (last year or so).
The branch itself wasn't the biggest, and my friend and I were originally seated within elbow touching distance of a couple on the next table before we moved. So would be quite cramped if the branch was full, but a nice atmosphere during our visit.
Food was served very quickly, within about five or six minutes of sitting down, impressive for peak time when half busy.
Staff were attentive, seemed well trained and energetic. Whole branch seemed well organised and managed.
Half chicken medium/peri chips and my friend's butterfly chicken breast had plenty of sauce/peri spice, but the chicken quality wasn't outstanding, and chips felt like they were at the end of a batch. Not disappointing food overall, but could definitely have been better.
Would definitely recommend a visit if local, the only one in the area and I believe the only one for several miles if you're north of the city (the nearest being Carlisle if you go further north?)
Otherwise I've preferred my visits to the Southport and Liverpool branches, but can't fault this branch too much given the friendly and attentive staff. Would love to see more Nando's branches opening in the area!
