Rotherham - Parkgate - Ryan Review
This Nando's is located on the Parkgate Shopping Park, which also offers a large M&S, Morrisons and many other retail outlets as well as other eateries such as Frankie & Benny's. There are over 2000 free parking spaces, including 30 or so right outside Nando's. It's also just over 1 mile walk from Rotherham Central train station.
Arrived at this Nando's at about 12:30pm and there were just a handful of tables in use. Being such as a new Nando's, expectations were high. The ceiling inside and is clad in long triangular green/beige/brown wooden shapes. Hanging down from these are tinted orbs, beige domes and beige lanterns for the lighting. The seating is mainly table/chair sets and banquette seating with only a few small booths by the entrance. Toilets were clean and tiled in green/grey. Overall, especially being so new, nothing really stood out, but probably just about gets a 4.
Being a lunch time I went for the chicken burger, chips and rice and it came in just over 10 minutes. The chicken breast covered the ciabatta, but it was very thin and quite dry inside and out. The chip portion was a good size and were hot and crispy and the rice portion was average size, but also quite dry and only lukewarm. A little disappointing.
Staff were friendly but just doing as expected.
