Sea Point - James RYN Review
Wouldn't agree with previous reviewer regarding spice levels. I got extra hot as in the UK and found it just as comfortable. This restaurant is set on a busy high street in the quite upmarket area of Sea Point (though not as upmarket as Hout Bay and Camps Bay further down the coast if you are looking for something a bit nicer). I found parking easily with one of the wardens on the high street, who was very polite and watched my car for me while I ate.
Restaurant was a quick in-and-out affair with friendly staff and the usual South African Nando's service. This was my first time going for a wrap and it was definitely far better than in the UK. No rationing of breast cubes, but instead stuffed to the brim and oozing with sauce - the way it should be in my opinion! Delicious, though complemented by peri-peri wedges which I didn't find as satisfying as the fries I was used to, despite being noticeably quite spicy (nothing wrong with them though if you prefer wedges to fries).
Decoration was the average South African style with nothing particularly memorable but a clean and well organised service throughout. Staff were friendly and brought me my meal within 10 minutes. As soon as I was done and got up the waiter wished me a good afternoon and was quick to clear my table - good service.
