Sheffield - Ecclesall Road - Ryan Review
Was in Sheffield for the weekend and after watching the horror fest of Sheffield Utd vs Shrewsbury, beer and Nando's were in order. It's located on Ecclesall Road about 1 mile outside the City Centre and so 1.5 miles walk from Sheffield train station. It was lashing it down, so by the time I got here and had a few swift halves in the places along Ecclesall Road, I was nice and warm inside.....
I was in a party of two and we were seated straight away and the food came in just under 5 minutes. I was claiming a whole chicken as well which just seemed to make the food tatse nicer. The portion of chicken was huge and all parts of it were nice and meaty and very succulent right to the bone. It was well marinaded too. All the sides were cooked superbly as well. This was a sumptuous feast - good enough to soak up the beer...
A good mixture of seating as well. Plenty of booths towards the back and lots of table/chair seating nearer the front. The decor was nice as well. A big sort of honeycomb feature for the ceiling at the front with some honeycomb pattern lights hanging down as well. Multiple large canvas paintings dotted around the walls as well. Toilets were upstairs and nice and clean.
Staff were fine, doing everything as expected.
