Soho Square - Elliott Waters Review
The outlet is split on two levels, the ground level and basement. When you enter the outlet you are immediately in the till area, and there doesn't seem to be an evident "welcome" area unlike other Nandos I have visited. On this visit only the ground level was open, which is quite cosy with tables shoved very close together. This caused a minor irritation for the party sat next to me, who kept commenting on how they were sat on our knees. The decoration was good, including the giant illuminated Nandos cock in the window, and a good selection of Nandos tunes were playing throughout. The downstairs looked bigger, and rather plush, however was not visited on this occasion.
The food arrived quickly, and was of a good quality. I had a chicken breast fillet burger with spicy rice and salad, a combination I hadn't had before, but one I will have again. The plate looked advertising, and the peri-peri juices were flowing in the burger which is good. Spicy rice wasn't so spicy, but the salad was lovely and crisp. My friends chips could have been better.
This Nandos is located near Soho square, and can take a bit of finding if you're not used to the area. The Nandos app is very helpful for navigating though, and took me straight to the store from Tottenham Court Road station. There is no parking, as with most Central London outlets. If I was in the area I would visit this location again, but only if another store was not available.
