I visited this Nando's on a Thursday lunchtime prior to going to see Aladdin the Musical's matinee production (that show is amazing btw). I arrived and only a few tables were occupied. I was asked if I wanted to sit at the "bar" (a raised table with bar stools) as I was on my own but I declined. I am old school and prefer a proper table.
I was seated at a nice booth table and near the drinks machines (always good when you are on your own). I put my stuff down and went straight up to order. Thanks to previous Rate your Nando's wins, my total came to 5p (yes 5 pence)! I had a lot of food too, but had over plenty of vouchers so it was a bargain.
The food came out ridiculously quick but here lies a minor complaint. As the restaurant was so empty, all my food (pitta starter and my main) all came out at the same time. I appreciate that Nando's isn't a traditional have your starter first then move on to your main course kind of place (it does after all say there may be some overlap on the menu), but even a few minutes between them would have been nice. My chips were rather cold by the time I'd eaten my starter but overall it was still very nice.
Overall it was a nice visit, perfect location for that show as well. If the restaurant was that quiet again I probably wouldn't bother with a starter, but after eating I didn't feel rushed to leave even though the restaurant was fast filling up. I enjoyed another refill before heading to my show.
