My first Nandos since September 2020 and it was amazing. There was a bit of confusion initially when entering the branch regarding the track and trace and scanning the QR code to join the queue but the front of house was very patient and waited for me before giving me a seat. I had just finished watching Raya and the Last Dragon at the Cineworld across the walkway and had a 2 hour wait for the Tom and Jerry movie at 3pm.

I was seated at table four which is quite close to the front of the restaurant and very securely situated away from the next two tables on either side of me. I had to scan another QR code to place my order although I had to reset my password because I haven't used Nandos online for so long. I have also now forgiven Nandos for discontinuing the mango and lime sauce which id been eating for the last 8-10 years as they've now introduced the new garlic-bbq sauce.

I ordered a quarter chicken with the garlic barbecue flavour, salted Peri chips and macho peas. I used my green reward for a free lemon and herb quarter chicken because I thought the garlic bbq flavour might be too garlicky. I was wrong and it was phenomenal, I wish there was more sauce slathered on the chicken but it was real finger lickin tasty so no complaints. Large portion of chips too and plenty of peri salt on and no issues about the peas either. I'm still fine-tuning my meal as I'm coping with the loss of the sweet potato mash. Trying to be semi healthy and sensible at the same time.

The staff are friendly, walking around with masks, getting refills on drinks whenever you need. They still give small glasses for water however if they are the ones to replace your drink, can they still not give you a bigger glass for water, is my only complaint...

Its a nice branch, I really think they should do outside seating as they have the space for it. They are well prepared for covid and social distancing. Now that I will be going to the movies more regularly, its nice to have this branch there for lunch between movies or dinner after a movie.
