Southampton - Ryan Review
Heading back from the IOW, stuck in traffic... what better way to relieve the boredom than a quick jaunt to Southampton Nando's? Located in the West Quay shopping centre, it's easily found. Signposted very well with thousands of parking spaces. I paid £3.80 for just over an hour - so not the cheapest, but a short walk to the shops from here so good location.
The West Quay itself is a good size. Loads of shops and a nice Food Terrace offering other eateries too - pretty bog standard. The Nando's is easily the bext place to eat here!
This Nando's has recently been refurbished and you can tell. Some fresh new lighting, a bright colour scheme on the walls and some interesting wicker light shades have made for an interesting interior. No toilets though - so had to go to the communal Food Terrace ones.
Arriving shortly after 6:30pm meant there was a long wait. Although no wait to get a table (albeit it was the last table), there was a 14 minute queue to order followed by a 21 minute wait for the food. For a lot of the queueing time too there was only one person on the till... strange. Full selection of sauces on offer, but the ice machine was broken.
Food itself was okay. It wasn't anything special but equally it wasn't bad. Chicken was fine - chip portion size was fine. Olive potion size was quite small.
Staff seemed friendly enough but no rockstar treatment going on.
