Southbank - Clink Street - Marc Joss Review
I visited this branch twice in June in very different circumstances and both were absolutely perfect! The first visit was late on a Sunday night when the branch was maybe a quarter full when we arrived and we were the last to leave. Service was perfect (food beat me to the table) and portion sizes were huge. The staff did their bit too with the usual Nando's spirit and the only mini problem was that a Nandoca had already started putting the sauces away so I had to wait to get my hands on my extra-extra hot sauce a bit longer than usual. Décor is outstanding at this branch with incredibly high ceilings (apparently this is a former stable) allowing for all sorts of eclectic pieces of art of all shapes and sizes. The setting on the Thames is just about as good as it gets in London! Ask for a booth upstairs for the best view.
My second visit was the 3rd Contributor Event which saw 23 RYN contributors take over the central part of the restaurant on a fairly busy Tuesday night.
Service was brilliant considering how many of us there were and the Nandocas came round chirping out names rather than orders which made everything much easier. My food was great once again with chicken covered in sauce, generous portion sizes and plenty of peri salt on my chips.
I look forward to going back very soon!
