Southport - Anonymous Review

I had the sweet potato and pepper burger, rice and coleslaw. The burger was delicious but cold (but it was cooked, maybe left out under the lights for a long time?). The rice was slightly warm, but definitely not hot. The rest of my table’s food was piping hot. We waited approx 30-40 mins for our food in a restaurant with plenty of staff on and about 1/3 full (arrived approx 4pm). All of the tables around us were served pretty quickly, but I didn’t complain as I thought the extra waiting time was maybe due to me ordering a new menu item. It was disappointing that when it did turn up that it was cold. I didn’t return the food as we had already waited a long time with 2 young children and I never return food to the kitchen anywhere unless it is uncooked, I just think twice about revisiting. We visit this Nando’s often, as it’s well located and the staff are normally nice and the food is quick. It was quite a lot messier and dirtier than usual (bits of food, kids colouring etc on floor underneath empty tables). We were seated right at the back of the restaurant which was in a mess. There were lots of staff just stood around (waiting for the evening rush maybe?)
