St Albans - Pompey Ranger Review
After the disappointment of finding Hatfield closed for a refurbishment this Nandos was my alternative point of call. This store is in the main street of this historic town which is more likely to be on Time Team than clubbers weekly. There are loading bays outside which are free to park in after 6pm and I would suggest these the best places to park.
First sight inside the store is the lit glass backed stairway with a fossil embedded stone at the top. There is a large seating area up there with a second till and a large amount of artwork on the walls and large vases. The toilets were smart but could have been a lot cleaner and was the only part of this store which was a let down in cleanliness terms in what was otherwise a very clean store. The left tap was broken and the right sink sprays all over the work top and needs some cleaning.
The downstairs which was the only bit of the store they were using on this Sunday evening was also clean and well decorated and comfy soft backed benches to the tables. The tables were quite close to each other but they had an impressively fast turn around pretty much seating new guests as soon as the previous had left.
The chips were a good generous portion size and plenty of peri sprinkle. The chicken was cooked perfectly to my liking and was succulent with the meat falling off the bone and nice and tender.
The staff did all their necessary checks and were polite.
I would definitely recommend this store.
