St Albans - jl7039 Review
Working locally, this has become a regular haunt, it allows me to get some peri-peri goodness, instead of Heinz tomato soup and it allows for some socialising with work colleagues. It is worth noting that it is almost impossible to park for free in St Albans during the week, however there are good parking facilities at the nearby Maltings Car Park or St Christopher's Place.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were greeted politely by a member of staff and quickly ushered to our table. It wasn't particularly busy, which was quite nice for a catch up lunch. It also meant that it was feasible to get there, eat and back to the office within an hour, which is something a lot of other restaurants in the area can claim to do. I had medium butterfly chicken, salad and rice and the food was to a decent standard, although I have had better elsewhere. The chicken was slightly more dry than usual, although nothing some peri-peri sauce and some mayonnaise couldn't resolve. Although the rest of the group had no issues with their meals.
I've never come to this Nandos at dinner time, but it is worth noting that its quite a small Nandos, so there may be a bit of a wait for a table at peak times. St Albans is a lovely town with a number of great shops and parks for a post Nandos stroll to burn off the calories.
