Stanmore - Gerry Louis Review
Didn't know this branch was open until the day before so had to visit it after we'd done reconnaissance for it the month before. Just a half hour drive from Chiswick give or take though we did pick up some traffic via Kingsbury. Parking was an issue as there are limited spaces outside the shopping parade but two huge range rovers made a spot obsolete buy after the second time around we got a spot on the right hand side of the one way system.
We were greeted and seated straight away given table 6 in the window as requested. It gave a nice view of the restaurant, waiting area, till and grill and the exterior. Went up to order the usual of 1/4 chicken mango and lime with sweet mash and the girl also added creamy mash without me asking. She asked if I knew the sweet mash didn't come as part of a combo meal to which I acknowledged.. but then she spent two minutes trying to take off the creamy mash from the bill. She cancelled and then started again. She then asked me if I wanted her to repeat the order twice because her accent wasn't very clear, but why ask me??
The food took over 20 minutes to arrive. At the ten minute stage a girl came over asking to collect non existing plates we hadn't been served yet. The chicken leg was so small, stingy portion of sweet mash and the garlic bread was not ready. Everyone in there was waiting for ages for food. There were plenty of staff walking around but no one serving food.
The restaurant was relatively clean and the decorations and layout were quite good too. Bright and colourful but that's how they always start out. The toilets were clean though the toilet rolls were just on the side so that was a bit 1 star. Never again....
