Stirling - Ryan Review
On the way up to Brechin, so broke up the journey with one of two Nando's - and Stirling was the first stop. This Nando's is located on the Forthside riverside complex, which is also home to a Vue cinema. Parking is cheap at just £1.20/day Mon-Sat 8:30-17:30 and free outside of these times. Stirling train station is also just a couple minutes walk away.
Just a small note - as I found with others, sat navs still do not recognise the post code and will take you to an army barracks, so use post code FK8 1QZ instead!
Arrived here at about 2pm and only a few tables were in use so no wait at all to order. There were three of us in the group and all the food came together in under 5 minutes. I went for the chicken burger and chips - and the burger was one of the tastiest, thickest and juiciest I'd had for a while, smothered in sauce as well. The chips portion was large and the chips were hot and crispy as well. Very tasty indeed.
The branch is nicely decorated too and still keeps its freshness even though it has now been open a while. There are two large circular booths infront of you as you enter and over to the right and towards the back past the tills/sauce stations is more seating and a couple of further booths. There are several canvasses on the back wall here too.
To the left of the entrance as you enter it's generally open plan with table/chair sets. High ceilings and plenty of full length windows letting the light in - many with brightly coloured blinds too - along with a nice display of wooden carvings on the wall here. The lighting mainly consists of clusters of orbs on the end of sticks - in the style of a chemical compound model... Toilets were at the back and were clean, if not a little plain, but did have a nice large black granite sink in a V-shape.
Staff were pleasant enough but doing as expected.
