PLACE: Table 5. A controversial Nando's that is located in the old Vortex Jazz Club. People say Nando's is a product of copy/paste high streets but I disagree entirely. People say Nando's is a product of copy/paste high streets but I disagree entirely.
This one also had a curved ceiling- rare, rouge leather booths- also quite rare and a selection of different chandeliers- something I haven't seen in any other Nando's. Definitely no pasting going on here. Table 5 is right in the corner by the window which offered a lot of natural light and conversational privacy. If dining in this Nando's please be aware of the fact that table 5 is actually unlabelled as the '5' sticker has been removed- 8/10
SERVICE: Daniella was your typical Nando's host, spritely and efficient. She even brought my olives over to me whilst I was pouring my soft drink, something that she really didn't need to do as they were right behind me on the counter- 7/10
FOOD: I ate vegetarian out of respect for my vegetarian dining companion who walked in and said "you do realised this is my idea of hell right?" Wow, what a burger, it was unexpectedly delicious, filling and spicy. The mushroom made the consistency a little on sloppy and sogged the bread up but I think that is needed when the Portuguese rolls are so hard and dry, all that was missing was some PERi chips and wine- 8/10
COMPANION: I see Amy less than once a year. Amy is one of the loveliest people I know but she is let down by the fact that she won't share meat with me. And that Nando's is her idea of hell. We reminisced about our youth and predicted the next time we'd see each other, perhaps 2014- 8/10
