Opening day! This was my second Nando's opening of the day and this time it was Stratford-upon-Avon. It's in the new Bell Court development which is only 0.5 mile walk from the train station. Rother Street surface car park is the best priced and is priced around 80p/hr - Rother Street multi-storey is around £2.50/hr. There's an Everyman Cinema in the town along with all the Shakespeare stuff.

Arrived here around 8pm at night and it was rammed. I was advised there was an hour wait for a table and to go away and come back as there was so little space for anybody to wait inside and it was also roasting inside... The food took an extra 30 minutes to come too. I had half a chicken with chips and rice. The chicken was a good size but was probably under the lamps for a while as the food service, as it was so busy, was a little chaotic. There were a few people who were approaching serving staff saying they could see their platter has been under the lamps for 15 minutes etc... It meant the chicken was pretty dry. The chips and rice portion were both an average size and cooked well.

There's some outside seating which goes all the way around both windowed sides of the restaurant. Inside at the main entrance, there are several booths - all housed under a canopy with lights hanging down. To the back/right from these is more table/chair seating with lots of bright canvas paintings on the wall. A bit dark overall - could have done with some more lighting. At the entrance are the tills as well with the sauce station to the left and the toilets to the left of here (upstairs). Toilets had a very sterile feel to them being almost all white with one strip of blue tiling round the walls.

It was manic so staff were just doing enough to get through.
