Moved house to Finsbury Park and this Nando’s is literally at the bottom of my road – at the junction of Stroud Green Road and Tollington Park. Sunday itself was moving day and it felt a no-brainer for us to christen our new local on our first night.
It was a very warm day (almost 30c) and the area was busy – and the branch no different. Alfresco dining was available and we made the most of it – it really felt like we were on holiday (except, you know, in Finsbury Park…) Took a while to get served (phone orders taking priority, almost seemed disorganised) and then for our food to come. When it did, the butterfly burger was very, very good. Possibly the biggest one I’ve had and it was a real handful to eat (but that’s not a problem at all!). I smothered it in sauce, and the peri chips too.
Aside from the outside area, which is sheltered, the branch seemed nice enough inside; albeit almost running low on cutlery and sauces (again, busy Sunday evening so fair enough). General service was good, if unspectacular, and it boded well for future visits when it’s quieter.
The branch is about 5-7mins walk from Finsbury Park station (Victoria/Picc/National Rail, several buses); 210, W3 and W7 stop diagonally from the branch. As Pompey pointed out, it’s also not far from Crouch Hill Overground station either. The park itself is about 5-7mins away.
