Mid- week dinner with Gerry at the Teddington branch, this is a new branch to me.
As it was after 6.30 pm I found free parking in the road opposite. However, I am not sure if this is freely available at other times, it’s a residential road so could be ‘permit only.’
I think it was 15 minutes wait for the food to arrive, but was busy catching up and trying to thaw out from the freezing weather outside, so a tiny wait was not an issue.
I have given up eating chicken (and meat) for Lent I had to switch to a veggie option. Went for the Sweet Potato and Butternut Burger. It was reasonably satisfying but not spicy enough for me although I requested Extra Hot. Had regular chips & Perinaise. The chips went cold in a nanosecond.
It’s quite a large branch, with seats outside, but these were unoccupied as it was probably the coldest day ever!
We sat at the front next to the window, but we should’ve opted for a table further in for warmth. The toilets are at the back and are spotlessly clean with a large Butler-type sink.
So, I would definitely like to return to this branch, it’s very local for me, to try the chicken. And do a proper review/comparison.
