Teddington - Pompey Ranger Review
This store whilst marked up as 2 Station road you won't spot the store by going down Station road as its set back from the High street on the roundabout with Waldegrave road with a little landscaped park area separating it from the road. There is a small outside eating area on the raised terrace with privacy provided by large planters. Large windows and a wood theme welcome you into the store.
The store is on a level surface with tables and chairs along the window, the serving counter down the right side of the store, sauces and beverage station across the back, Soft form bench seating walls in a seating area with more tables and chairs in the middle. There is also a small very private booth at the back which is sheltered by the same wood pattern blocking as the ceiling decoration. The toilets are out the back and are very wooden but clean with a large Belfast style sink.
When I ordered I was using a voucher that I had got from the Portsmouth team at the Pompey uni's freshers fayre, the server who might have been the manager gave me the full degree of questions on how I got it and kept asking more questions but not in a friendly way trying to trip me up making me feel like a common criminal. He wasn't friendly at all.
When the meal came out the chicken breast was tiny and I had to examine it wondering how it managed to be so small and conclude it was missing half, the chicken was however very well cooked succulent and tasty, just wish there had been a normal size breast piece. The peas were dried out hard balls and had been left in a microwave too long, the mash was a small portion but tasty. When they came round to check I did comment about the peas which I had removed from my plate by that point as I had no intention of eating them after trying a fork of rock hard nuggets and they then brought me fresh peas which were nice. The haloumi cheese and the bread roll were also nice.
