Tooting - Gerry Louis Review

I might have new favourite Nando's with this branch though it was a bit of a trek. We were supposed to go to Colliers wood but took the wrong bus so ended up in Tooting. Really easy to find, it's right on the high street and there are so many buses to get there. It's in between tooting broadway and tooting bec so there's multiple options to get here.
so we got there around 7pm and the restaurant was quite buzzing. we were seated straight away but on the dark side of the restaurant which was quite odd. they have a lot of blown lights but I'm not marking them down for this because the restaurant was generally clean and had a nice ambience.

Grant was a very helpful, very genial host who took my order. no I don't want my free whole chicken, thanks for offering, but why have I been given a plastic cup for my water? they didn't have any forks left so I was eating with a spoon for about 20 minutes which was not very easy.

the food came within less than 10 minutes, and though the portion of mash was not enough, which my friend agreed with, everything else was perfect!! the chicken was cooked to perfection, no complaints, it came off the bone with ease, so tasty and so much sauce, it was soo good!!! the garlic bread!!!!! the halloumi wasn't burnt, just no complaints about the food whatsoever.
even dessert, tried a whole caramel cheesecake for the first time whilst my friend enjoyed the chocolate version, but we're looking forward to trying the choc- a lot cake at the next nando's we go to...
