I first bought a hotpot around 14:20 on Friday (26 July 2024), my order was served to me at 14:55. I thought it was because the Nando's ( @ the tramshed) was full.
I went later on to purchase (17:57) a full chicken with 3 sharing (R289) . I specified that my chicken must be extra hot (also appears on my slip). I collected my order and went home after waiting for quite some time for the order.
When I arrived home and opened my order, the chicken was labelled extra hot. I dished up the chicken, only to find the chicken dry and not extra hot as i wanted it to be. It had no sauce. The chips were mixed with potato wedges and had no seasoning.
Today (27 July 2024), i returned the remaining pieces of chicken i had left from the previous day and explained what my problem was.
I purchased the meal because, I wanted to eat it for dinner.
Went I got to the restaurant, i requested to see the manager. The manager was arguing with me the whole time and i asked him to taste the meat. He claimed that he doesn't eat "hot" things then i told him that the meat is not even mild to begin with. Mind you, he didn't even introduce himself.
I told him that the full chicken must be replaced, he rep**** with arrogance and said "we can only replace a full chicken with a 1/4 chicken". I said okay, I will come and pick it up after work.
I went there after work (16:00), then the cashier call him and that's when i heard that his name is apparently "Doctor" .
The cashier pointed at me using her head.
After the treatment i got, i opted for a refund for the 1/4 chicken.
The manager didn't even apologize all he did was justify the the pale meat.
I am not a first time customer. I have been a customer for more than 15 years now.
