I'd been to this branch once before but the review for that visit was pretty short so here's a slightly longer one...

It was another busy Saturday in the office so we decided to head out and grab a Nando's takeaway. Rather than head to the Wilton Road branch, we headed to Cardinal Place (because one of my colleague's wanted a Costa). This branch is slightly hidden. It's within a newish glass-fronted building which looks a bit like an elephant when viewed from Victoria station (currently undergoing a major redevelopment causing a myriad of pedestrian diversions). Cardinal Place is directly opposite Westminster Cathedral but the branch is tucked away around a corner and you could easily be forgiven if you missed it as it's visibility is dwarfed by the likes of Zizzis and La Tasca. It's also probably the nearest branch to St. James' Park station and the nearest cinema would be the Curzon down Victoria Street (somewhere in between).

The branch is also notable for a having a good amount of Al Fresco tables available, all underneath the glass roof which towers above. Luckily there was no queue so walked up straight to order. Although initially no-one was at the till, Lorena - one of the friendliest Nandocas I've ever come across came over to serve me. I opted to give the butterfly burger a second shot, along with the usual peri chips and halloumi sides. By the time we popped to Costa to get my friend's iced-mocha-thingy, my food was ready for collection and Lorena again noticed me and came over with the order. The service station is right by the tills and it was well-stocked will all sauces, with the takeaway pots tucked in a draw just below.

I devoured my food upon return to the office (a mixture of pure hunger, love of Nando's and the fact I had work to do); good amount of peri salt on the chips, great halloumi and a good burger - perhaps could have done with a tad more sauce and lettuce but good stuff overall.

One of the best Nando's branches in London; modern and well laid out... Now roll on #RYN5!
