Wasn't supposed to be here but just like me it's all very last minute. Finally managed to find the place at ten pm with half an hour left for this branch to be open. Initially i was in awe of cardinal place in general as i've never been here before but it started to grate on me after a while.
The young host was very persistent in trying to place me on a table next to a group of four, it was too close, and not knowing me i moved myself along to the next table. He then placed a couple in between us again, too close to each other. I understood they were closing in half an hour but don't just lump us all together in one place. The ordering process was just as painful, Michel not understanding i simply wanted a quarter chicken with sweet mash. This he put through the til on three occasions and insisted i wanted creamy mash. He was possibly new and it took him a while to find the button for the sweet mash but he did make me think it wasn't something they served there.
So it's taken me near two hours to get here due to poor public transport, i have half an hour to eat and have an annoying couple sitting next to me so not one of my best nights. A small portion due to the time of night but i suppose the meal was okay. Though it left me hungry the mash was nice, with that rich orangy colour and the chicken was smothered in sauce to cover the dark bits. They only gave me a leg too which was poor lyrics.
I didn't look around this branch but its quite small, only 30 something tables inside with room for 10 more maybe outside (already dismantled). The cutlery and stuff is right infront of the till in the rear of the restaurant and is also below the toilets (stairs again). Different toilet layout to other Nando's not sure how useful that actually is when it's busy. Unfortunatley I didn't look around at any decorations, I was a bit too peeved..
In and out within half an hour for my eighty sixth and it was definitely rushed. But i will try it again at another time now that i know where it is.
