Wakefield - Pompey Ranger Review
This store is based in a retail area and is in between a mecca bingo and a cinema with lots of free parking around. From the outside it didn't look too great and resembled more a corrugated sheet factory with a large illuminated sign on the exterior of the building. Upon entering the store I was very pleasantly shocked. As you enter this spacious store you are met with a waiting area and chairs for people to wait for their take away or seat. The tables pan round the bay at the front to the left and onto the bar or sweep to the right and then booth and split level with higher tables. The toilets are at the back on the upper level and were spacious and tidy, there was also a disabled toilet placed next to the service counter. The high ceiling featured wooden panels and white masonry arches and at the end behind the service area was an impressive wall of sauce bottles laid out like a book case. There were massive wooden lampshades and an abundance of large plants that provided privacy.
The staff were very polite and well spoken and a pleasure to be served by. The food didn't take too long to get and was well cooked and tasty with plenty of sauce. An extra bonus was that we got peri salt chips by accident which cheered me up as whilst I prefer them I'm always too tight to buy them. We really enjoyed our meal here and it is a store I'd definitely head back to.
