Walthamstow - jackie molyneux Review
visited this branch on Saturday afternoon. hadn't had chance to do my normal map printing, so relied on the map outside Walthamstow Central Station (Victoria Line). not such a brilliant idea, we ended up asking a local for directions. very large branch & I am reliably informed by my genius friend, Gerry, that it's not been open for long. loads of outside seating, but we decided on an inside table. even though we are in July, it actually feels like November. lovely staff and lots of them. nothing was too much trouble. some slight confusion at the till, as I wanted to use 2 different gift cards, but it was soon sorted by the manageress. this is a very spacious branch, plenty of room between tables and booths. they have an interesting wavy wooden ceiling, some wavy wooden lampshades to echo the ceiling. and more wavy wall tiles. all very smart and still looks brand new. the ladies loo is also sparkling and had everything a girl needs!!!! my food was superb, a very big 'quarter' chicken, so no complaints or comments about chickens on diets this time..........sweet potato mash was a bit lumpy but nothing to get upset about. garlic bread and haloumi all fine too. I would recommend this branch very highly, it's a shame it's far from home.
