Walthamstow - Gerry Louis Review
Due to the Games in Olympic Park the trip to Stratford Westfield Nando's was diverted to Walthamstow. One of only four Nando's in London I haven't been to yet, I wanted to visit a former top ten branch. Of course Walthamstow has a few famous sites of its own we'd see what we could find after a late lunch at the branch.
Probably one of the easiest branches to get to, it's less than a five minute walk from both the train station Walthamstow Central and the bus depot. Also maybe one of the largest Nando's In London with nearly as many seats outside as well as inside. It's all a glass window front next to The Empire Cinema with really cheap prices and also a Pizza Express.
Got there just before 3pm, nearly a two hour journey by train and were greeted straight away. It's a large place and loads of different seats, circular cushioned booths in the middle and some at the side for couples, and along the glass front inside tables for two. Down the back there are different tables, and there's also a little side extra bit down the bottom.
No problems ordering, I should have opted for breast cos the leg quarter was really small paired with peri chips and garlic bread. I also ordered a toffee gelado which came out promptly after it's request. The staff were constantly coming over to check if everything was okay.
Plenty of spacing between tables, the food was nice, waiting time Nando's average. Staff are really friendly, the French girl Sandra finding out for us that there's no Primark locally, branch easy to find. Plenty of decorations to look at, it's a bright, airy and colourful branch. Including the toilets which didn't damage me in anyway, was clean with everything in working condition. Also lovely tiles and the pattern and colour matching the bright branch.
