Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

I parked in the Homebase car park which is opposite the store on New Zealand road and costs £2 for a maximum of 90 minutes which I thought would be long enough... If you do get back to the car park in time you get the £2 off a £10 or more purchase from Homebase. The store has a small seating area outside on the pavement.

Entered the store at 1pm and was behind a couple and they were sat quite quick, was told our table would be another 10 minutes, after 20 minutes I was still waiting for a table though I did get reassured once they hadn't forgotten me. Once we got our table we were ready to order, this was another difficulty as was being served by the trainee who was struggling somewhat. We ordered our meal in two parts as I had a whole chicken to redeem, so my mate went first and ordered a large chips, bread roll and beverage to get over the £7 mark for the new cards. This was a little bit of a struggle as the trainee had to get fellow staff help to put the Nando's card through.

Mine was more painful ordering a Large rice, bottomless beverage and the free whole chicken off one of my old paper cards and attempting to pay with a gift card. This caused a long delay and the customer behind me grumbled about choosing the wrong queue, as the other members of staff were unable to help after a couple of minutes I went and found the manageress who was able to sort it after a while.

When the food came out the chips were hot plentiful and well cooked, the chicken was nice and tasty and full of flavour, the rice was tasty and fluffy, and the bread roll was soft, unfortunately they forgot the butter and no one checked on us till our meal was pretty much finished (my friend had finished a few minutes before they did) but I still asked for the butter and got a frozen butter pat. As my parking had finished a few minutes before we had we just left at the end. One piece of art work did make us laugh a lot and is quite graffic, I really hope if I ever return to this store it is still on the wall as it was so funny, so don't go chicken Nandos keep the painting up.
