Warrington - Junction 9 - Ryan Review
Stopped into this new Nando's late on a Wednesday evening. It's located on the Junction NINE retail park... which is just off Junction 9 of the M62. Hundreds of free parking spaces spread across the retail park. Warrington Central train station is about 1.5 miles walk away.
There's some seating outside. As you go in, to the left of entrance - there are half shell like things hanging down for lighting. The structure for the ceiling is impressive and is one big long lattice work of sticks running from the front right to the back.
The left side wall is clad in plywood with big triangles cut out to allow light in from the full length windows behind. There are four square booths running along this wall with a chunky LED strip hanging above each. To the right of the restaurant three larger semi circular booths by the serving hatch and other tables chair sets making about 30 in all.
There are large colourful canvasses on the back wall and the corridor leading to the toilets. Toilets were clean with big ornate porcelain sinks.
It was just after 9pm and there were only a few tables in use. I had to wait at the door for 6 minutes and eventually picked a Cock up and took myself to a table.
The food came in just under 10 minutes. I went for the Full Platter with chips, supergrains, rice and coleslaw. The chicken was a good size - and well cooked. Very moist and piping hot and lots of white meat. The chip portion was also quite large and they were all hot and crispy. Not sure what happened with the rice - it was very, very dry. The coleslaw tasted like soap and the supergrain side was standard. Bit of a mixed bag, but the chicken was nice.
Sadly nobody checked on me either - and I was there a while as was eating a full platter - and nobody said goodbye when I left either.
