A fine afternoon at Goodison Park could only be improved further by a successful visit to a recently opened Nando's just off the M62. There's ample free parking right outside and this Nando's looks rather funky from the outside. It's a stand-alone restaurant, meaning there's plenty of natural light and the lighting inside is also pretty cool.

I decided to go for the new fino pitta as I love chicken thighs and halloumi! I have to say it's a winning combination and I can certainly see myself ordering it again. My peri chips were perfectly cooked and the peri salt was in plentiful supply. My only qualm was that the pitta could've been spicier.

The staff were very pleasant and the Liverpool-supporting manager was quite pleased to discuss our dismantling of his team's local rivals! All in all, this was a great Nando's and a brilliant asset to the north-west.
