Watford - High Street - Gerry Louis Review

2nd time visiting his branch this year and everything was much better this time around.

Got there just before three o'clock but our group of eight were advised a fifteen minute wait though they'd prefer us to wait outside due to space.. Okay then... Fifteen minutes later we got a suitable table down the far end of the restaurant near the toilets.. The branch was very smoky but at the end where I was, it was very cold so the smoke didn't give a warm feeling there. Plus we were in front of the kitchen area so there was constant to and fro of staff behind me dropping cutlery every five minutes.

Used my red reward for a free half chicken, mango and lime, garlic bread and peri chips. As extra got sweet mash and two portions of halloumi so I could get a chilli. I was lucky that my food arrived first just less than fifteen minutes. The chicken was slightly warm but otherwise cooked well, the mash was plenty, the cheese not burnt and the garlic bread was also well done.

Food was great, decent waiting time, the staff didn't come over and bother us, but were very apologetic to the others in the group who had up to a half an hour wait for their food. I also have to mention that I picked up a handful of straws for the table only for the first one to have a split in it, and the remaining straw covers empty of straws! Easy enough to get to this branch and plenty of things to do whilst waiting to get inside the branch in the daytime. Very happy that I also saw a Santa meerkat today.
