Wembley - Designer Outlet - Gerry Louis Review
Happened to get to Wembley when the football was just finishing so not really the best time to get to the restaurant but I was 2 hours early so luckily it quietened down by the time I was due to eat.
I must say this place, the designer outlet is in an amazing location. There are plenty of places to park, there are about 5 different bus routes and 3 different train stations nearby, with maybe 5 -10 mins of walking. Plus there is plenty to do there if you were waiting for more than 20 minutes so it's all good. On a Saturday most of the shops were still open at 6pm and there's a cinema so you could watch a movie and come back afterwards.
We had choices of places the sit, the maitre'd was very hospitable in those terms. I ordered my usual half chicken with sweet mash but with halloumi this time whilst my companion went all out with a double pitta with peri chips, extra chips, halloumi and he even had dessert which came recommended by a staff member. I can say the cheesecake looked amazing and he said it tasted so too.
The restaurant is relatively new but they definitely keep it looking great. I was fascinated by the artwork which I don't think I've seen in another Nando's before. We didn't have to wait long for the food and the sweet potato mash which I sometimes complain about was perfect. The halloumi wasn't burnt and the chicken was cooked all the way through but was not smothered in sauce, which I would have liked.
We all joined in singing happy birthday when they presented a birthday cake to someone in the restaurant, and they all seemed very happy to work there.
All in all it was a great experience and I will certainly recommend this Nando's to others.
