Wembley - High Road - Gerry Louis Review
Watched Big Game in the Designer Outlet and got a lift down to the high street. It's been nearly a year since I was last in a Wembley Nando's and this branch that I was once a regular in.
None of the old staff which probably explains why I had to give myself a stick and find a table to eat at despite the restaurant having about six guests there. It also took a while for someone to come to the till point to take my order. Seating area outside, great in summer, this branch is quite small with the tables real close together.
Only a quarter chicken and mash as it was after nine pm. I accepted a breast piece over wing which arrived twelve minutes later with a charred wing and black, crispy chest. The mash was very watery but both items extremely hot. The mash tasted lovely despite its 'wet' look so I worried about the taste for no reason.
Found at the top end of Wembley High Street this branch is accessible by Metropolitan and Jubilee by way of Wembley Park, brown line and overground at Wembley Central. Plus that Other line near the stadium. Also by buses coming from Ealing, Harrow, Hendon and the end of the 18. There was some nice artwork hung on the wall and different patterned urns on top of the drinks/sauce station which separates the two seating areas. It's quite dark and drab in here and the waiting area is quite dowdy which is bad as you enter the branch.
I've had better service in here before so I can let them off for it this occasion but next time I'll probably go to the designer outlet branch instead.
