Wimbledon - Blaynos Review
After a long day at Wimbledon (which included getting soaked walking down from the Tennis to the town centre), the clear choice for dinner was Nando's with fellow RYN-er Steven. The Nando's is located about 5-10minute away from the station (the opposite way from the tennis direction, which was annoying given the weather!) and it's slightly tucked away at the start of a side road - just off the high street. It seems like a fairly old-ish Nando's, initially small at first glance but when I later discovered there was plenty of room upstairs (where the toilets are located).
Service was superb; as soon as I went to queue to order, they opened an extra till to serve me and the food came around ten minutes later. I finally tried out the butterfly burger (photo attached if I manage to upload it) and it was pretty good - but maybe a bit too big(!) for a burger - I'll stick to my usual fillet burgers/pittas. I received a generous portion of peri chips and some of the bigger slices of halloumi I've had at Nando's (they even threw in an extra half-slice!) and there were sauces aplenty at the service station. One of the best Nando's I've ever had!
I've also attached a poorly-taken photo (mainly due to both my phone and also the light in the middle of it) of some of the tennis-themed art on display, a good touch for the Wimbledon branch!
