Wood Green - Pompey Ranger Review
First things first. Parking! You can park next door in the Mecca bingo for an extortionate £2 an hour, another option if your cheaky is to sneak into the Asda roof top car park near by where you can get 2 hours for free when shopping in store and do your shopping after your meal. It is also close to the Wood green underground station.
The store is modern and housed in a new glass fronted leisure complex alongside a Vue cinema complex so providing for entertainment options. It also neighbours to a mini Sainsburys and a McDonalds behind a large forecourt pavement.
Upon entering an amazing Murial strikes you on the left hand side (see attached album) which sets the scene for this store. There are many levels which again adds to the atmosphere and I would say this is one of the best looking stores I have encountered. Staff were very friendly and I was placed at the top of the store with a view across the whole service and eating area. The staff did a continuous circuit checking everyone was ok, even making it to the top of the store.
Chicken was halal so slightly tougher than non halal, but is probably the best cooked Halal I have experienced, just not the same as non halal Nandos. The rice didn't seem to have as much flavour as normal but this was minor details.
Toilets were down the back and were clean and tidy, I also liked how space for push chairs and buggies is provided under one of the levels as I hate when they are blocking tables and in the way.
I really enjoyed this store and would be happy to return.
