Woodley Park - Marc Joss Review
This was a fantastic Nando's which is ideally located near DC Zoo which is part of the Smithsonian network meaning it is free and to top it off, they have pandas there!
We arrived just before 14:00 and chose to sit inside and enjoy the air conditioning, although there is also a pleasant outdoor seating area at the front of the restaurant.
There are high ceilings covered in varied pieces of eye-catching artwork and there is also an arrangement of hanging chunks of wood above the sauce and drinks station which looks great.
I had a delightful chat with manager Tony about Nando's USA and the brand's potential expansion in areas where Nando's does already exist and in other places where it doesn't just yet, exciting!
I went for my classic meal of half a chicken extra hot, peri chips, garlic bread and halloumi this time. It was bliss. The chicken couldn't have been saucer, was perfectly cooked and a good size. The peri chips were delicious and the garlic bread was bigger than our usual UK version. The only issue was that the halloumi is thicker and smaller in size here which isn't perfect for making an open garlic bread peri-peri chicken sandwich, but the sauce and chicken more than made up for that.
This was certainly one of the best Jossymoon Nando's and I can only fully recommend this restaurant!
