Woolwich - Marc Joss Review
This was an interesting Nandventure which involved a lovely ferry trip and finally visiting the area where my beloved Arsenal started out!
This Nando's was opened in 2010 and should really be a 4 for décor, but there were a few negatives that balanced it out to a 3. On arriving, it took a while before we were noticed and the restaurant wasn't even completely full. There were also some cleaning materials draped over an urn by the entrance, rather strange!
The artwork on the left as you walk in was rather eyecatching with lots of eclectic pieces of all shapes, colours and sizes. The right-hand side was less exciting and there was a gap which seemed to be in desperate need of some artwork to cover it up!
The staff were good overall, although the Nandoca who eventually welcomed us in didn't ask if we'd been to Nando's before, shock horror! The second questionable moment was the same Nandoca taking our cock as she served our food meaning nobody came to check on us once we'd actually tucked in. I did have a minor problem with my half chicken as the end of the wing was missing, but the Nandoca who I told managed to find it and bring one over. It was delicious! The food can't be more than a 4 for that reason as well as the fact that the chicken could have been a tad spicier.
All in all, my 188th different Nando's visit was a success and I'd recommend this restaurant!
