This Nando's is in the new extension of Yate Shopping centre called the The Riverside. Not all the units are taken here yet, so it's a little bare, but does mean there is no shortage of parking with hundreds of free spaces right outside. Yate train station is 1 mile walk away too.

Arrived here around 6pm and there were just a few tables in use. There are 8 tables or so outside with yellow metal chairs for warmer days... Inside it's bright, colourful and very open plan. The wall on your left as you enter has three large canvas paintings which lead you up to the till area which is tiled in bright colours. There is a half level wall separating the till area from the main front section seating - which is mainly tables/chair sets, with plenty of different coloured chairs. The lighting here is very striking, with very multi-coloured shades in different shapes and sizes, all hanging down from multi-coloured strands running right across the ceiling.

Towards the back is another seating section which has three booths on the back-right wall, each with a large wicker shade above it - and the very back wall, is completely tiled in a bright triangular pattern. The toilets are also entered from the back and were painted bright yellow and were very clean.

The food came in only 3 minutes and the staff were pleasant, but doing as expected. I went for the chicken breast burger and while the fillet of chicken was a good size and nicely cooked, the bottom of the bun (in three minutes) had some how gotten very soggy it couldn't be used to pick the burger up as it fell apart in your fingers. a knife and fork jobby. The chips portion was an average size and were also a little soggy and cold. Not crisp at all.

Overall, a slightly below average meal in a lovely new setting.
