York - Monks Cross - Pompey Ranger Review
This is a new store in a new shopping centre, so new in fact that it doesn’t exist on google maps yet or on Nokia’s satnav. The post code takes you to the pre existing Monks cross shopping centre. I can’t really explain how to get to the new Vangarde centre as it just involved me driving around for a long long time till I stumbled on it.
There is a substantial outside area with many seats and soft furnishings under the protection of very large eaves at the front. The front windows open up wide to allow the outside in.
The store was impressively decorated and benefits from the coloured vinyl seating around the edge and the masses of artwork.
The staff were also very friendly, smiling and helpful. I also witnessed them bringing out a Birthday cake to someone and all coming out to sing happy birthday which was a nice touch. They also took the time to chat to customers many of whom seemed to be new to Nandos.
Wicker is definitely the main decoration theme of this store.
The food was very nice too and very enjoyable with well cooked chicken and being offered a choice of flavour on the corn on the cob is always a good sign of great food to come.
A great store to visit if you can find it.
