Worcester - Damien Review
Back on the trail, the first numbered Nando's we've done in exactly 6 months!
We parked up in the nearby multi-storey and arrived at Nando's #59 at about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. At first, we were told that there'd be a 35 minute wait. That wasn't entirely unexpected but the fact that the restaurant doesn't let you put your name down on a list was. We were told to wait in the entrance area for over half an hour. Despite this, we somehow had a table in less than 5 minutes of arrival. The place was kinda' busy, but not bustling for a Saturday lunchtime. Worcester isn't the most spacious Nando's out there, but it didn't feel crowded and it was almost eerily quiet. I was also surprised that there was absolutely no queue at the tills.
The restaurant was very well-staffed and all the staff were super smiley and friendly, to the point where some of us thought they might have clocked on to either who we were or what we were doing. The guy at the till even asked if I wanted to start a new loyalty card or if I wanted a glass with my beer. Things I normally need to ask for myself. The other staff seemed to take turns coming over and checking on us in pairs. Something that could probably get tiresome, but I guess it's good that they seemed happy to be working.
The food all arrived to our table really quickly and my whole chicken was pretty good and a bit spicier than usual Some of our group had complaints about over-cooked and overly-spicy chicken but mine was just how I like it.
Overall a pretty good Saturday afternoon Nando's experience, and a good way to get back on track.
