Redditch has been on our own Opening Soon & Restaurant Rumours page as a Lemon & Herb rumour for quite some time - with the hope that it would become a reality in time... Well, it seems as though that time has now come!
The Redditch Standard have reported that Nando's has signed up to a 15-year lease to the new "The Hub" complex, as part of the Kingfisher Center's re-development - and could open as early as Easter 2014.
With no confirmation of this as yet from Nando's, the spiciness of this rumour can only go as high as medium on our page - but as soon as we hear anymore, we will let you know!

This is true and the constriction for the restaurant is coming along very well,i would like to ask for the Nandos to be halal (suitable for muslims) as alot of us have to travel further to get a halal nandos in birmingham,it would give you an extra profit too as there would be more customers:) Thankyou
I would refuse to eat there
I would refuse to eat there if they sold Halal. It is cruel and barbaric. So I disagree it would give them extra customers because many people would avoid it for those reasons.

It would not be cruel and barbaric. .halal food is blessed food.if you go to indian resturants and munch on currys from takeaway's then about 80%of the meat there is halal. So if people love curry why should they have a problem with halal meat?if you dont have a faith then you shouldnt have a problem with halal meat.
A halal nandos would be
A halal nandos would be excellent and beneficial for redditch as it will be busy. Please make it a halal nandos so muslims and non muslims can enjoy the food and make it a busy place. I can guarantee all muslims will go there.

This is great news! I think it's about time that Redditch got a Nandos and am sure it will be really successful. I'd also love it to be Halal if possible, as again, it would stop the need to travel to Birmingham and would be much more convenient. Looking forward to the opening!

Need a halal Nando's!!. I enjoyed visiting it in Leicester when I was at university but now I've graduated and back in Redditch. I hope it is Halal because not only will it bring in more people but it makes business sense to have it halal as the areas surrounding the town- I.e: Smallwood, River Side, LakeSide and South Crest are largely British Muslim populated areas.
