Euston - Marc Joss Review
This was by far my worst experience at this branch after numerous visits last summer. I was pleasantly surprised to be seated straight away (I was on my own to be fair) when I saw numerous people sitting down and standing up by the door waiting to be seated. I was seated on one of the comfortable, leather high chairs (that makes me sound like a baby but I can't think of a more appropriate description) by the window with a stunning view of the hustle and bustle of Euston Station.
I instantly started queuing to place my order and about 5 minutes later, I was reciting my usual order to manager Simona. The time on my receipt said 12.35 and there was no warning that food would take much longer than usual at peak time. I wasn't worried about needing to leave at 1.25. Of course I'll have enough time I thought.
How tragically wrong I was.
The clock hit 1 and there was still no sign of my food. This sad state of affairs had been compounded by the fact that there was no extra extra hot sauce on the counter and a Nandoca who was obvioulsy flustered simply told me they didn't have any. It seemed like he didn't want any more work and made no effort to satisfy the customer.
Luckily I didn't believe him and returned to the counter via the toilet at 1.05 and found some extra extra hot sauce. I foolishly made the assumption that my food would be waiting for me when I got back but no, how wrong I was.
35 minutes had passed when my food finally arrived having asked 2 Nandocas to check up on my order. This meant I had barely 15 minutes to get through my half chicken, large peri chips and haloumi.
As those of you who have had a Nando's with me before might know, that is near on impossible. I simply couldn't enjoy the food (which to be fair, was very good quality) because I was so angry about the wait and the fact I knew I was rushing my food rather than savouring it. I was offered some more chips to make up for the delay, maybe on another day when at leisure I would have appreciated such an offer but this seemed more like rubbing peri salt in the wound as I didn't have time to eat my own chips let alone an extra portion! I was also offered dessert to take away but I simply wanted to get away and forget this experience as soon as possible.

I remember that 17 minute in
I remember that 17 minute in and out at Wood Green in...2006?! You demolished the chicken...but did you enjoy it is the real issue.
This sounds like a sorry tale.
