27 Elizabeth St - James RYN Review
Last Australian Nando's of the trip, and this was another standard affair at Nando's down under. It seems a common trait that the Nando's here are so understaffed that tables are left dirty for a long time, and today was no exception. It also seems that none of the Nando's here have air conditioning, which was fine up in Sydney and Queensland when they all seemed to open out onto the street, but leads to quite stifling conditions on a 32 degree Melbourne day, when the restaurant doesn't have a nice breeze running through it.
All that said, ordering was quick and easy as usual, and the food came in average time. I actually experienced my first food mistake of the trip, with the tomatos being left in my paella despite having requested they be left out. This was sorted within 2 minutes, and the paella wasn't around for long after that! It was again incredibly spicy, and I was sweating profusely by the end (compounded by the aforementioned hot day!). I had the chicken meatballs on the side with chips, and this was again a delicious addition to the meal.
Overall I'm sorry to be leaving Australia and the Nando's here, but here's to another trip sometime in the future!
