So I thought I'd let the dust settle after Ashford's opening week then give them another try once they were in their "groove". I wasn't disappointed! The staff treated us like long-lost friends and we were whisked to our table in seconds.
The weekend is definitely a different vibe to mid-week, absolutely FULL of young families, but noise levels were fine - and I could see from the tables in my vicinity that the kids were all well entertained thanks to Nandos crayons and attentive staff.
Again, service was great, and although we had to ask for a few things (plates, knives) they arrived in no time. Food came relatively quickly. Piping hot and delicious.
We shared a full platter with chips, coleslaw and rice plus a halloumi side; all perfect. The drinks machine is back in order and the post-mix was sweet and refreshing.
When we left, we were thanked by 9(!) individual staff members for coming, and asking us to come back again soon. The smiles were genuine, the feeling was reciprocated. See you again soon, Ashford.
