Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

This store in Basildon town centre has a number of car parks around it. Because I was in the minibus I had to spend some time travelling around the town centre before finding a surface level car park which was cheap at only 90p for 2 hours. Basildon town centre is like being transported back to the 50's, I do have a nostalgia for the 50's feeling that the world is on the up and it was a dawn of a new age, I don't have a nostalgia for the concrete jungle and failed cities in the sky policy of the incompetent politicians of the time.

The Store is in the food court of the Eastgate shopping centre and penned off by rails from the main eating area, it still did have the abundance of people strolling past your table whilst heading to look at whatever tacky item they have come shopping for. This is the reason I hate many shopping centre Nandos as they don't give the true Nandos experience. The toilets aren't in-store but a walk away across the food court and whilst clean they did show some signs of attempted vandalism in the past.

The staff seemed more Mcdonalds than Nandos. My chicken came out missing its wing and whilst after a bit of moaning I was begrudgingly brought a wing to replace it I wasn't enthralled in the atmosphere. My side salad was a big pile of lettuce leaves and only 1 cherry tomato which is a shame as that's the best bit of the salad and I'm accustomed to at least getting 2 so when it is so lonely by itself on the lettuce i did notice. The chips were standard. I was however entertained by watching the 99p store opposite the store.

Probably wouldn't return here mostly as I like Nandos stores not food courts.
