A lovely drive down to the New Forest was split up perfectly by this fantastic lunch at Basingstoke's second Nando's which is in a retail park with ample parking right outside. The weather was on our side and we were able to sit outside for a scorcher of a meal.
There were a few minor menu issues with a couple of new items unavailable due to a delivery being scheduled for that evening. Luckily, I was not affected, but my mother didn't get to sample the new broccoli on this occasion.
Our starter arrived before I got back to the table after ordering and my half chicken arrived soon after with peri chips, garlic bread and halloumi. My chicken was spicy and saucy, just as it should be! There were good portion sizes all round and we were even given tall glasses for our water on a hot summer's day which was appreciated and saved a few trips to the water dispenser.
This Nando's looks fantastic and has plenty of interesting design features. The exterior of the building lights up at night, although we didn't get to see it unfortunately. This was a cracking Nando's!
